Fairmount Home

Fairmount HomeWelcome to Fairmount Home, a not-for-profit, municipal long-term care facility belonging to the people of Kingston and the Frontenac Townships.

Being not-for-profit means that 100% of resources are invested in the interests of the residents. We have a strong reputation for care, particularly dementia care. Our home has recently added 32 new beds in 2004 to help meet the growing need for long-term care in our area, bringing us to a total of 128 beds.

Built in 1968 on a 100-acre parcel of land in a serene pastoral setting, Fairmount is minutes from all of the acute health care facilities and medical offices within downtown Kingston. Residents and their friends and families enjoy the gardens and the paved walkways that meander through the forest that is part of the property.

Management, staff and volunteers serve and help residents meet their daily living needs, by ensuring a comfortable and secure environment. We are a community of people who care about each other. Please feel free to ask questions and discuss any areas of concern with our staff.
